Understanding NetBanking

NetBanking refers to services offered through your bank’s online interface. Authentication, supported merchants and transaction limits depend on the bank and the payment flow.

What to check on the payment screen

Use your bank’s genuine login route. Do not share credentials in a merchant chat, and check the final amount and recipient before completing a bank authorisation.

Deposits and withdrawals are different

Before leaving a bank login flow, identify the beneficiary, payment reference and confirmation status. The bank's authentication step and the receiving website's credit record are separate screens; completing one does not explain the state shown by the other.

Keep a clear record

For an unresolved NetBanking entry, start with the bank reference and the account statement. Ask whether the transfer was posted, reversed or remains pending. Supply the merchant only with the relevant transaction details, never the credentials used to access the bank.
