Bitcoin Transactions: Addresses and Confirmations
A Bitcoin transaction record is different from a website’s internal account record.

Confirm the receiving instructions
Check the asset, network and destination supplied for the current transaction. Do not infer compatibility from a symbol or a saved address. Cryptocurrency transfers generally cannot be reversed by a card-style cancellation after broadcast.
Read confirmations correctly
A transaction identifier allows its network status to be inspected. The receiving service can require confirmations before crediting an account. Network inclusion, confirmation count and internal credit are different milestones; distinguish them in any support request.
Keep recovery information private
Wallet recovery phrases and private keys control access to funds. They are not transaction references and should never be included in support correspondence. For a missing credit, provide the relevant public transaction identifier and ask the recipient to investigate its account record.
