Identify the period being measured
A full-game total and a first-half total cover different amounts of play. A live market may also refer to the remaining period rather than the final cumulative score. Read the full label and the score context rather than comparing line values alone.
Overtime must be explicit
Overtime treatment can differ between markets. A result, total or player statistic may define its period in a different way. Check the rule next to the market and avoid assuming that a full-game label on one screen applies to a different selection.
Player statistics and participation
Points, rebounds, assists and combined statistics are separate measurements. Read participation requirements and the source used for official corrections. A team’s final score does not resolve which statistical definition applies to a player market.
Spreads, totals and live updates
A spread adjusts the score for settlement; a total compares a combined figure against a line. Neither is a promise about the final margin. During play, confirm whether a displayed update belongs to the same period and whether an attempted selection has actually been accepted.
